1987Established the joint venture Taiwan Iwata Industrial Co., Ltd., an overseas affiliated company, marking the first time that a Japanese painting company had begun overseas production
1988Established the joint venture compressor sales company Powerex-Iwata with Campbell Hausfeld.
Established the joint venture sales company Iwata Italia S.R.L. in Turin, Italy
1989Established the joint venture company Atlas Copco Iwata K.K. in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, to manufacture rotary compressors of up to 90 kW

1993The first vacuum pump in the world is produced, based on the "Oil-free scroll" technology. Established the sales company Iwata U.K. Ltd. in Dorset, U.K. for the distribution of products to the U.K. market.
The Mother Company obtain the ISO 9002 certification in October.
1994Established Iwata America Inc. in Auburn, Washington, U.S.A.
1996The Mother Company obtain the ISO 9001 certification in February.
The Japanese Mother Company modifies its corporate name to ANEST IWATA CORPORATION and subsequently the other group members follow, adding "Anest" to their company name
